Failure Analyst –

We currently have a need for a Failure Analyst to work in our Daleville,
The ideal candidate will join an existing Failure Analysis staff of metallurgists, mechanical engineers, and technicians dedicated to uncovering definitive root causes and helping implement solutions to our client’s issues. Candidates must be familiar with standards and procedures such as ASTM, ASME, SAE, NACE, API, and other related testing specifications.
Candidates MUST have a minimum of 5 years Failure Analysis experience and a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. A degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field is required. The successful candidate will also have strong leadership skills to work with company leadership to develop and grow Sherry Laboratories.
The individual hired will organize, direct, and control activities to achieve the overall expectations of the company's strategic and business plans as well as those of our clients. The successful candidate will have knowledge of metallurgy, materials science, engineering mechanics, and chemistry and will work to provide client satisfaction via the production of legally defensible data in a timely manner. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must, including computer literacy. Aerospace experience, particularly with hot engine components, is a plus, as well is experience with non-ferrous alloys, such as titanium, nickel, and cobalt alloys.
