We currently have a need for a Metallurgical Analyst to work in our Daleville, Indiana materials testing laboratory. Daleville is located 30 miles northeast of Indianapolis off of I-69.

The individual hired for this position will be responsible for microscopic evaluation of metals and alloys to evaluate microstructure, homogeneity and other characteristics. The individual will work with a team to evaluate parts and components for conformance to industrial standards. An important aspect of this position is the ability to take the evaluation results and compile them accurately in reports which meet customer requirements and demands.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years experience in evaluating microstructures as required by the applicable metallographic standards/specifications. Applicants must be proficient with computers, possess the ability to read and interpret documents, specifications, and instructions and be able to communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees.

Preference will be given to candidates with documented experience in the testing and evaluation of super alloys, titanium, cobalt and cobalt/nickel alloys. Experience with weld evaluations is also very important for this position. Familiarity with Aerospace Material Specifications (AMS), Nuclear and Aerospace testing requirements and understanding of the Nadcap standard is a plus. Previous supervisory or other leadership experience would be a strong plus.
