Approvals, Certifications and Accreditations

Few laboratories around the world carry the range of professional accreditations and approvals enjoyed by Sherry Laboratories.

Our metallurgical laboratories have been accredited through Nadcap and the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). They also meet the requirements of ISO 17025, and the general requirements for the Competence of Calibration and Testing Laboratories for Mechanical, Chemical and Fastener testing as outlined in the Fastener Quality Act (FQA).

In addition, Sherry is a trusted vendor to many of the world's top manufacturers, including Bell Helicopter, Boeing, Bombardier, Cessna, Federal Mogul, General Electric Aviation, Gulfstream Aerospace, Gunnebo Johnson, Honeywell, Ingersoll-Rand, Lockheed Martin, Parker Hannifin, Pratt & Whitney, NORDAM, Raytheon, Rolls Royce, Rolls Royce Deutschland, Rolls Royce PLC, Sikorsky, Snecma and Zimmer. OEMs, fabricators and end users rely on Sherry Laboratories to test their metals, exotic alloys and polymers in accordance with standards set forth by a number of organizations, including the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Petroleum Institute (API), American Welding Society (AWS), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), Federal, Military or individual customer specifications.

Sherry's environmental labs also enjoy numerous accreditations. The environmental laboratory in Lafayette, La., is accredited by NELAP and certified by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the State of Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. The microbiological laboratory in Warsaw, Ind., is certified by the United States Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service to test eggs for salmonella. The Warsaw facility and Fort Wayne, Ind. facilities are also certified by the Indiana State Department of Health to conduct drinking water testing.

Municipal and industrial clients, engineering consultants and government agencies turn to Sherry for services that cover a spectrum of issues, including the testing of wastewater, storm water, land applied sludge, solid and hazardous waste, ground water, drinking water and soil for industrial pretreatment, National Pollutant Discharge and Elimination System (NPDES), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Safe Drinking Water Act and Underground Storage Tank (UST) regulatory programs.
