Sherry Laboratories Expands in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Acquisition of Midstates Analytical

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Muncie, Indiana-based Sherry Laboratories, Inc. announced today the acquisition of Tulsa-based Midstates Analytical Laboratories, Inc. Sherry Laboratories is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ontario Corporation, which is headquartered in Muncie.

Effective immediately, Midstates Analytical Laboratories will join with Tulsa-based Sherry Laboratories/Oklahoma to become Sherry Laboratories Midstates, Inc. The combined operations are now a part of the nationwide network of Sherry Laboratories. An independent specialist in materials and environmental testing services, Sherry Laboratories has eight laboratories in three states.

William Vesely of Midstates and Stephen Reilly of Sherry Laboratories will remain as Vice Presidents and co-managers of the combined operations. By early fall, Sherry Laboratories Midstates will be consolidated into the Midstates facility at 3100 N. Hemlock Circle in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Founded in 1966 and owned and operated by William Vesely and Betty Joyce, Midstates Analytical Laboratories provided a variety of markets with industry leading metallurgical and materials testing services. Producers, fabricators, and manufacturers rely on Midstates for a wide range of services including metals, alloys, and specialized chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical evaluations performed in accordance with ASTM, ASME, API, Military, Federal, or individual customer specifications.

According to Stephen Reilly, Vice President of Sherry Laboratories Midstates, "We are excited about the expanded capabilities that Midstates Analytical Laboratories brings to our national network of independent laboratories. With the combined capabilities we gain from joining with Midstates we can now offer a far more diverse range of services to our customers."

Dan Lawson, as a Vice President of Sherry Laboratories Midstates, will head a new operation dedicated to testing and evaluation services for plastics, composites, and non-metallics. This operation will be located in Sherry Laboratories’ current facility at 6825 East 38th Street in Tulsa. Sherry Laboratories also operates an independent environmental testing laboratory recently relocated to 3445 South Sheridan Drive in Tulsa.
