"Jennifer has done an outstanding job for us," said Sylvester Johnson, Vice President-Northern Region. "She has the talent, skills, desire and gift to take Muncie Materials to the next level."

As Director-Metallurgical, Marek will supervise more than 20 employees and organize, manage and direct their efforts in accordance with Sherry’s goals, quality programs and testing procedures. "Jennifer has the technical understanding and management skill necessary to help Sherry grow," said Mel Barnell, Senior Vice President Technology and Quality. "She has a passion to get the job done well. I don’t think I’ve met anyone more qualified to lead this facility."

Marek was a Metallurgical Engineer for Sherry from January 1997 through January 1998. She left to become Metallurgical Manager at American Axle and Manufacturing, where she was employed until her return to Sherry 10 months ago.

"Jennifer has done an exceptional job since she started," said Mark Glover, President of Sherry Laboratories. "Her customer and employee focused management style will certainly help us as we grow materials testing in the Northern Region. We are fortunate to have her with us!"

Marek graduated from Michigan State University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Materials Science and Engineering. She earned a Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Systems from Lawrence Technological Institute in 2001. Marek is a member of ASM International and the American Society of Nondestructive Testing.

"I have an excellent team to work and grow with in the Sherry Labs Network," Marek said. "I appreciate the support and coaching from the leadership in our company as I take on new responsibilities. I think I speak for every member of my team when I say I look forward to overcoming any challenges that are in front of us and being part of Sherry’s very prosperous future."
