Sherry Laboratories has the knowledge,
dedication and expertise to service all of your bioassay needs by providing
biomonitoring toxicity tests for petroleum, industrial and municipal customers.
Sherry Laboratories, a leader in the bioassay field, is certified by the
Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality and the Oklahoma Department
of Environmental Quality. We cultivate and maintain in-house cultures
for test organisms and specialize in understanding the time constraints
of the offshore oil industry.
If you would like to send a sample to the
Sherry Laboratories facility nearest you, please print and complete the
Bioassay Chain
of Custody Form and include it along with your test specimen. For
further information, contact any of the seven Sherry locations.
Toxicity Analyses Available
- Drilling Fluids: LC50 testing and Rangefinders
using Mysidopsis bahia
- Freshwater Effluents: Chronic and Acute
Testing using Pimephales promelas (fathead minnows), Ceriodaphnia dubia
and Daphnia pulex
- Saltwater Effluents: Chronic and Acute
Testing using Mysidopsis bahia and Menidia beryllina (inland silverside
minnows)
- Screening Tests: available on chemicals
and additives used in the drilling or production process, using appropriate
species and specified durations
- Sediment Toxicity Tests: testing done
using Leptocheirus plumulosus
